  9. Sign up for direct deposit
  10. Register for New Employee Orientation

A New Employee Orientation (NEO) is conducted by the Department of Human Resources & Equal Opportunity for new and newly benefits eligible employees with appointment of 50% or greater. NEO is your introduction to University of Minnesota Duluth, benefits offered by University of Minnesota and the wealth of opportunities available to you.

Steps to register for an orientation:

At the orientation, you will learn about:

  • benefits provided by the University of Minnesota such as medical, dental, retirement, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, wellness
  • how to enroll for health benefits
  • Regents' Scholarship
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • services and programs on the Duluth campus;
  • programs available to support your personal and professional development; and
  • Your attendance at the orientation will be entered in ULearn.
