ORIENTATION FOR NEW NON-ACADEMIC EMPLOYEES

Welcome to the University of Minnesota Duluth, a great University on a great lake! |
At New Employee Orientation, you will learn about the benefits (medical, dental, retirement, life insurance, short term disability, long term disability, flexible spending accounts, and Regents' Scholarship) provided by the University of Minnesota; as well as to familiarize yourself with the Duluth campus.
The orientation contains information that you need to know as you begin your UMD employment. This includes key University policies, how to enroll for benefits, how to get your Staff ID card and your parking permit.
Checklist for New Employees:
- Get your Internet ID and Email Account
- Apply for your U Card
- Get a parking permit
- Attend New Employee Orientation. An orientation is conducted for those with appointments of 75% or more. Lita Wallace (218-726-7822 or lwallace@d.umn.edu) will contact you shortly to schedule an orientation.
