ORIENTATION FOR NEW NON-ACADEMIC EMPLOYEES

Welcome to the University of Minnesota Duluth, a great University on a great lake!

The New Employee Orientation contains information that you need to know as you begin your employment at the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.

At the orientation, you will learn about the benefits provided by the University of Minnesota such as medical, dental, retirement, life insurance, short term disability, long term disability, flexible spending accounts, and Regents' Scholarship. You will learn how to enroll for these benefits, as well as to familiarize yourself with the Duluth campus including how to get a Staff ID card and parking permit.

Checklist for New Employees:

• Get your Internet ID and Email Account
• Apply for your U Card
• Get a parking permit
• Attend New Employee Orientation. An orientation is conducted for those with appointments of 75% or more.
• Enroll in Health and Retirement Benefits
