In her capacity as Assistant Director of Student Support Services, Becky has dramatically improved many systems to meet the needs of the department, thereby better serving our students.
Becky has taken the initiative to design forms which are more clear and easier for both staff and students to understand and use.
She has implemented many improvements as part of her unit’s business process redesign efforts. Becky has taken the initiative to organize scholarship information and has made it easier for students to access and apply for them.
Her excellent work performance has been instrumental in helping overcome PeopleSoft problems and in disbursing forty million dollars in financial aid annually to students.
During the 11 years that Becky has worked for UMD, she has demonstrated her concern for providing the best possible service to UMD students. She encourages input and questions from staff and students in regard to concerns and issues they have about student financial aid.
For these reasons, I present Becky with this Outstanding Service Award.
