Bruce Reeves
Bruce Reeves, as an Information Technology Professional for ITSS, has the primary responsibility of assisting faculty in using new technology tools to enhance their teaching.
One of the most important things Bruce has done since coming to ITSS is to take on the responsibility of team leader for their training team. Bruce has emerged as a strong leader of the newly reorganized team by setting high standard in the many workshops he teaches. Today the ITSS workshops are in great demand and valued by the campus community.
Bruce assisted in developing an innovative set of web-based software tools for faculty members designed to enhance their teaching. These tools, taken together, provide all the functionality of a commercial course management system. By providing separate tools and working together to integrate them locally, the cost is lower and the package is more flexible than other commercial systems. He also developed a standard web-based course template that faculty can use and one version of this template is being used by Continuing Educations to support their individualized instruction courses.
Bruce is truly a deserving recipient of the Continuous Service Award.
