Continuous Service
Judy Bromen
Judy is a counselor and instructor with the Access Center. The UMD Access Center
works with all students with disabilities to ensure they have a positive educational
experience. Judy encourages her students to challenge themselves and to grow
in self-advocacy.
She regularly consults with faculty and staff and has earned a reputation for
being both knowledgeable and supportive of our academic standards.
Although Judy has her own caseload to manage, she remains concerned about the
overall running of the department. She offers encouragement and help to support
staff and student employees, pitching in when she is needed.
Everyone knows they will find an open ear and good ideas when they need help.
In summary, over the past 14 years, Judy has always looked for ways to better
meet the changing needs of the students and improving the services of the Access
Center.
