Outstanding Service Award 2002
Project Award
Terry Estep
Terry works closely with community representatives in the Minnesota Rural Health
School to identify suitable facilities, creates informational brochures tailored
to each community, and serves as an effective and efficient liaison with the
University of Minnesota Medical School’s Office of Continuing Medical
Education, who funded this project.
In addition, she coordinates two onsite community faculty education programs
which was an interdisciplinary model for teaching. Through this project, health
professionals are able to increase their complete understanding of more effective
methods of teaching students in health professions. All of this further promotes
the mission of the Duluth School of Medicine.
Without Terry's dedication to the missions of the Rural Health School and the
School of Medicine, the program would not be so successful. The value of her
contribution cannot be overstated. I am proud to present Terry with this Project
award.
