Continuous Service
Scott Hollatz
In his role as an Information Technology Professional with ITSS, Scott is the
Computer System Administrator for several critical UMD systems related to e-mail
and the web.
In addition, he is also the Chief Computer Security Officer working closely
with the Campus Code Coordinator and Campus Police.
Scott is an outstanding and innovative software developer and consults with
others who are writing software, providing key components for complex software
development projects
He is uniquely qualified to develop systems that make our network secure, including
the development of a new service to provide authentication on the UMD network.
We like to brag about this because we did this a full year before the Twin Cities
campus began to put their system in place. This was in large part due to Scott’s
leadership.
We take pride in recognizing the importance of Scott’s work by presenting
him with this years Outstanding Service award.
