Project Award
CLAUDIA ROCK AND COLLEEN WERGIN
Claudia and Colleen work in the Department of Geological Sciences. They combine
their work skills and caring attitude to assist the department in being a very
successful unit.
Colleen handled all of the search administrative activities including the review
of applications, preparing letters of recommendation for each applicant, and
organizing the lodging, travel, dinners, and interview schedules for the final
candidates. She was able to prioritize her job duties at the same time while
keeping a smile on her face.
Claudia’s interaction with the candidates was equally as important. She
participated in departmental meetings for the candidates and showed her dedication
to the department and to her job. Geological sciences has several new faculty,
and Claudia always supports them in every way she can. She has spent hours on
faculty’s grants, making sure everything was in order.
Together, the work of Claudia and Colleen is attributed by the Department of
Geological Sciences to be of the highest caliber at all times. We take great
pride in presenting you both with this years Outstanding Service award in the
special project category.
