Continuous Service
Carole Schweiger
Carole is Program Associate with Continuing Education. She has worked with
a variety of programs in Continuing Education such as the American Language
and Culture Program where Japanese students come to the U.S. for their MBA program,
the Split Rock Arts Program, Scientific and Collegiate Conferences, and University
for Seniors and Elderhostels. Each program contributes significantly to the
good reputation of UMD and the department.
When the Director of University for Seniors and Elderhostels became ill while
in England, Carole took over the programs. As always, because of Carole's professionalism
and expertise, the programs are running smoothly. She has a talent for finding
innovative solutions to problems and assessing ways to do things better.
Carole is truly a deserving recipient of this Continuous Service award.
