Carolyn Zanko
Continuous Service Award

Carolyn has been working in LSBE for over 20 years. She started in their Student Affairs office and rose to her present position through dedication, hard work, attention to detail, intelligence and a consistent track record of going above and beyond the call of duty. And taking on additional responsibilities seems to be her second nature. A coworker noted that Carolyn wants “to take on more responsibility,” so that she continues to “challenge herself to develop new skills.” Carolyn currently is working on adapting Digital Measures (a software package that track faculty’s intellectual contributions and activities) to meet LSBE’s needs and ensuring that the system works flawlessly.

Carolyn becomes a knowledgeable resource and then shares what she knows. A coworker wrote, “Carolyn routinely goes above and beyond by providing Department secretaries (and Department Heads) with assistance in both the budgeting and hiring areas. There is no one person (at least at the collegiate level) that knows more about those two areas, and who is more ready to share that information with others than Carolyn.”
