Jayme Battaglia
Jayme Battaglia joined the CLA Student Affairs and Advising Center in 2005 and has been instrumental in streamlining their processes and procedures. Along the way, she’s proven to be an innovative force for the department.
When Jayme sees areas that need improvement, she proposes or implements changes – always with the needs of students and faculty in mind. While balancing a staff of six and keeping an office organized, she has found time to improve processes to save money, created ways for staff to access and find information quickly and, when she realized that there was a need, gave the department a Facebook presence to reach current and prospective students.
Jayme’s innovation extends to creativity in other areas, as well. She manages the Student Affairs and Advising Center’s webpage, continually showcasing student events and achievements; she decorates the area to create a warm and welcoming environment; and she assists student success, creating handouts like “Becoming your own Advocate.”
Jayme is an innovative asset for her department and we are proud to present her with this award.
