Outstanding Service Award Recipient (2010-2011)
For those of us that are not particularly gifted in the area of technology, the term “innovative” when connected to an Information Technology person can be a little unnerving. But when it is matched with “sensitivity” and “caring,” you have a tremendous partner in IT, and that is what Wendy Caveny brings to her job.
Wendy’s department notes that she is very knowledgeable in many diverse IT areas, and that skill is joined to an “I can help you” attitude. Her skills at identifying patterns and improving processes have helped ITSS resolve problems early, before customers are seriously impacted. And her efforts in the successful replacement or implementation of new technology in several departments on campus have assisted Facilities Management, University for Seniors and the Recreational Sports Outdoor Program.
One very special skill Wendy brings to ITSS is her excellent technology change leadership. She is able to help with the change process by providing customers with the information and training they need, to help them overcome their concerns about the impending change.
For her skill at helping us to understand and excel in an ever-changing IT environment, we are pleased to present this award to Wendy.
