Outstanding Service Award Recipient
2011-2012
Continuous Service
Carlee Williams
Her department reports that Carlee Williams is a “shining example of how our non-instructional staff directly and indirectly contributes to the teaching and learning mission of the campus.”
One obvious example of this was when Carlee volunteered to be the secretary in an assignment for Advanced Selling. Students were to call this “secretary” to schedule a professional sales appointment. She was to present the objections and hurdles that these “salespersons” would have to get past, in order to get their appointments. The professor noted that, “In essence, due to her assistance, Carlee helped team-teach that class.”
Other efforts on behalf of the current students and department alumni have been to help create networking gatherings for them. Also, Carlee was instrumental in updating the departmental website to showcase alumni achievements.
The department notes that Carlee is no less superb at taking care of department members as she is at taking care of the students and alumni. For her service to students, alumni and her department, I am pleased to be able to present Carlee with this Outstanding Service Award.
