Outstanding Service Award Recipient
2011-2012
Continuous Service
Dr. David Worley
Clinic Director, Medical Director, clinic physician and supervisor of 13 – simultaneously – is quite a big job. Add to that being editor of the Health Services Newsletter, UMD’s Emergency Preparedness expert, Quality Improvement project initiator, the campus H1N1 “go-to guy” and shepherd for Health Services’ most recent accreditation, and you’ve got a typical day in Dr. David Worley’s shoes.
In five years, Dr. Worley has managed to cover and carry just about every aspect of Health Services, juggling most of them simultaneously. Yet, even with all that he has on his plate, he still finds time to visit classes, take Athletic Trainer students on clinical rotations, lecture, assist the Medical School in interviewing prospective students, and collaborate with other community groups. His department reports that he does it all with an open door and “can do” attitude.
For his steadiness and incredible efforts on behalf of Health Services, the UMD campus, the University of Minnesota and the Duluth community, I am very pleased to present this Outstanding Service Award to Dr. David Worley. |
