Outstanding Service Award Recipient
RaeAnn has been the catalyst in improving the School of Fine Arts box office protocol. Her many recommendations for refining processes and procedures at the box office are important as UMD strives for fiscally responsible improvements. From devising a more efficient and effective process for credit card reconciliation which has been a major struggle for over two years after the implementation of School of Fine Art’s electronic ticketing system; improving the process for wait list shows; instituting a number of changes to the structure of season ticket packages resulting in increased season ticket sales; devising new marketing ideas; improving the worklife of their student employees and practicum student workers’; thinking outside the box to maintain that excellent first impression from patrons; to making decisions based on what will benefit the Theatre and Weber Music programs and their patrons, are just some of the reasons why the student employees call her the “mother” the box office needed. These new processes have saved tremendous amounts of time and money for the department and UMD.
