EMPLOYEE APPRAISAL TOOLS
The rating supervisor has many options to choose from when selecting an
appraisal tool. While it is a unit administrator’s choice which
of the tools to use, there are certain guidelines for consideration:

Is there significant employee buy-in through contribution
to the process? |

Is the tool easy enough for employee and supervisor to complete
within a reasonable amount of time? |
| • |
Is the tool flexible enough to be applicable to the jobs under
review? (You should be using the same tool for all members of an
employee group.) |

Are you comfortable with the range and standardization of ratings? |
