From the inception of "Take Our Daughters to Work Day" in 1999 up to 2002, UMD Department of Human Resources & Equal Opportunity coordinated this event.

Effective 2003, "Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) is the coordinator of the event which has been changed to "Take Our Children to Work" Day to also include boys.
