Temporary Office Service ( T.O.S.)

The Temporary Office Service ( T.O.S.) program is UMD's own temporary help agency managed by the UMD Department of Human Resources. T.O.S. fill temporary job requests from UMD departments on a short notice and for long assignments.

If Need Arises, Temp Staffing is Available from an Off-Campus Agency

The University of Minnesota has contracted with Adecco Employment Services for temporary staffing university-wide. Temp employees hired through Adecco may be trained with the UofM HIPAA and Security training requirements. To verify if a temp employee is trained, contact Cathy Rackliffe, HIPAA Coordinator at UMD, cracklif@d.umn.edu or 218-726-6827.

Adecco Employment Agency is the preferred vendor for temporary staffing. However, departments are free to use any service they would like. Be informed, however, that non-Adecco Employment Agency employees are not trained with the UofM HIPAA and Security training.

Temporary employment is provided through Adecco Employment Agency. This is an employment agency responsible for filling requests from University departments for temporary help. All billing of University departments for services are handled through Adecco.
