Q. How do I request for a TOS?

A. Completely fill out the online request form at http://www.d.umn.edu/umdhr/tos/requestform.htm.

Q. What is the salary rate?

Q. How long can a TOS employee work for our department?

A. TOS fill temporary job requests from UMD departments for vacation leave, maternity leave or any other types of leave, and for special projects.

A TOS employee assigned to the department (or additional employees assigned for the particular assignment) may work a maximum of 67 work days.

An assignment may be extended for eligible reason, covering for a staff on medical leave.

An extension will not be allowed for special projects. The department must determine their needs and must post the position or submit a Temp No Post request.
