|

| |
| Mission of the UMD Market Day in the Plaza (farmers market, artisans, live music, massage, demo and more): To promote a healthy workplace and a healthy lifestyle for employees and students; provide healthy, locally produced food and goods to Duluth and surrounding communities; and support local sustainable agriculture. Local farmers offer the Duluth community on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus grown seasonal produce at the market. This is a farmers' market where all vendors grow or produce the items they sell. Visitors will find regional farmers from the Lake Superior Sustainable Farming Association (LSSFA) selling transplants, plants, fruits, vegetables, fresh cut flowers and other locally grown produce (vegetables, fruits and more) fresh from the farms and gardens, as well as, delightful baked goods, jams, jellies, meat, eggs, and more. The Market also brings arts and crafts products locally made by the community. The weekly market includes UMD Stores special sale offers, artist's booths, live entertainment, demonstrations and more.
