| Mission of the Farmers
Market at UMD: To promote a healthy workplace and a healthy lifestyle
for employees and students; provide healthy, locally produced food
and goods to Duluth and surrounding communities; and support local
sustainable agriculture.
Local farmers offer the Duluth community
on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus grown seasonal produce
at the market. Visit us to find regional farmers from the Sustainable
Farming Association (SFA) selling transplants, plants, fruits,
vegetables, fresh cut flowers and other locally grown produce fresh
from the farms and gardens. The market also offer delightful baked
goods, jams, jellies, meat, eggs, and more.
UMD
Market Day in the Plaza also brings arts and crafts products
locally made by members of the community. The weekly market includes
UMD Stores special sale offers, artist's booths, live entertainment,
demonstrations and more.
