Q: 1. Where can I find parking and how much will it cost?
A. During the summer months, it is free to park at Lots B, E and G. Parking meters are also available all over campus. During the academic year, Lot G is the pay lot on campus. Enter campus from St. Marie Street onto University Drive North. Rates per-entry is $2.00. http://www.d.umn.edu/parking/
Q. Is Farmers Market open when it rains or snow?
A. Rain or shine, snow or sleet– we’re open! The market is officially open from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. or until sellout every Wednesday from May to September.
Q. How do I get a list of growers/vendors participating on a particular week?
A. Subscribe to the Farmers Market electronic newsletter by contacting Leah Nelson at nels5131@d.umn.edu or 940-2138.
Q. Are there ATM machines on the property?
A. Yes, ATM machines are located inside Kirby Plaza.
Q. Is the market wheelchair accessible?
A. Yes, the market is wheelchair accessible.
Q. How do I rent a space at the Market?
A. To rent a space as a Farmers' Market vendor, contact Leah Nelson, 940-2138 or nels5131@d.umn.edu . To request for a space as an artisan, contact Teri Glembin, 726-6507, tglembin@d.umn.edu. There is a minimal fee for Farmers Market. There is no charge for artisan participation.
Q. How do I use public transportation to get to the Market?
A. Duluth Transit Authority has their scheduline online or you may call them at 722-7283. Also see Duluth Boarding Zones to check the bus hub for your itinerary.
Q. Do the vendors accept credit cards?
A. Vendors will take cash or checks but you might want to check with the individual vendors, if they will take a credit card.
Q. Is entertainment offered at the Market?
A. Yes, a different local musician provide music every week.
