UMD Tobacco/Smoking Cessation Program (TSCP)
If you’re looking to quit, the UMD Tobacco/Smoking Cessation program is here to help. Our team of health professionals will assist you in creating a customized plan to become tobacco free. We will support you along the way with guidance from a qualified health educator, prescriptions for tobacco cessation medications, and medication counseling from a qualified pharmacist. The counseling program is free for UMD faculty, staff, and their families. UPlan members who successfully complete a 6 month program will receive a $65 reward. Benefits

The UMD Tobacco/Smoking Cessation Program (TSCP), is a 10-session program designed to help those who are looking for an effective plan to stop using tobacco products. UMD TSCP is based on a three pronged approach:

Weekly individual coaching sessions will include discussions that will build support, confidence, motivation, and the commitment to achieve a new healthy lifestyle. This program is available to University of Minnesota Duluth faculty, staff, and their families starting September 16, 2008. The program is FREE and includes weekly sessions before and after setting a quit date as well as ongoing support for maintenance and relapse prevention. As an option to UPlan members (employees and dependent spouse who are UPlan members), continuing the program for six months, will enable them to receive a $65 incentive reward.
