Changing the Status of Applicants
- Search Chair works with the Hiring Authority (usually person staffing the search committee) in changing the status of applicants as you review their applications, interview them, and decide on final applicants.
- You must change the status of all active applications in order for the Employment Team to designate your position as filled.
- It is important that the applicant status be changed before that time. The recommendation is that the status be changed as you make a determination of the viability of an applicant.
Choices:
- All Applicants
- Under Review by Department
- Referred for Further Review
- Referred for Interview
- Interviewed
- Recommended Finalist
- Offer Made
Changing the applicant status assists OEO in reviewing the applicant pool
Courtesy letter should be mailed to the applicant prior to changing his/her status.
