Statesman Ad Campaign
2004-2005
The Diversity Commission sponsored an ad campaign for campus diversity in the UMD Statesman newspaper. This involved placing a weekly ad, throughout the academic year, that featured a UMD student, faculty, or staff member. The intent was to raise awareness of diversity on campus and to show a variety of individuals’ experiences as members of the campus community. An accompanying poster was produced for each ad; these were posted around campus.
Angela Nichols coordinated the project. Financial support was provided through the Vice Chancellor for Academic Support and Student Life.
