Symposium on Social Justice
On October 30, 2006, UMD’s delegation to the April 2006 White Privilege Conference (coordinated by the Diversity Commission) hosted the Symposium on Social Justice. The Commission was one of many co-sponsors. Local, regional, and national speakers (including Dr. Allan G. Johnson, Julie Landsman, and Paul Gorski) presented workshops at the day-long event. Over 400 members of the University and greater Duluth community attended. Several members of the delegation joined the Commission following the event.
