Visit South Africa and Botswana through pictures and stories, by Helen Mongan-Rallis, Trish O’Keefe, and Paula Pedersen at 5 pm on Wed., Nov. 18 in the Kirby Rafters. International Film Series will show Marmoulak (The Lizard, 2004, Iran) from 6-8pm on Nov. 18 in the Kirby Lounge. The UMD Student Health Fair will take place Tues., Dec. 1 from 11 am - 2 pm in the Kirby Rafters. On Sun., Dec. 6 an interpreted performance of Sausage will be held at 2 pm in MPAC. On Thurs., Dec. 10 Joy DeGruy, author of Post-Traumatic Slave Syndrome: America's Enduring Legacy of Injury and Healing, will speak about facts, statistics and documents that illustrate how varying levels of both clinically induced and socially learned residual stress related issues were passed along through generations as a result of slavery. |
