UMD Homecoming Weekend, Duluth Thursday, September 27 UMD Department Decorating Contest 10 am-1pm Friday, September 28 The UMD Coaches Luncheon, featuring Head Football Coach Bubba Schweigert will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, September 28 at Grandma’s Sports Garden with an all-you-can-eat buffet for purchase. The UMD Class of 1957 will celebrate their 50th Reunion during UMD Homecoming. Their 50th Reunion Dinner will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 28 at the Kitchi Gammi Club. UMD Homecoming Bonfire at Fitger’s Courtyard will be held from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. on Friday, September 28. Free busses leave the UMD Bus Hub at 7:30 p.m. and return at 10 p.m. There will be free root beer kegs, snacks, and give-a-ways. This event is for students, faculty, staff, and alumni. If it is raining, the event will be cancelled and not rescheduled. Saturday, September 29 The Annual 5K Homecoming Trail Run at Bagley Nature Area will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 29. The cost for UMD Students is $7 and $12 for others. Register by 2 p.m. September 21 to guarantee a t-shirt.Contact Rec sports in 153 Sports and Health Center or call 218-726-7128. Race day registration is welcome at Bagley. Saturday activities for alumni include a 50th Reunion Brunch at 9 a.m. in the UMD Garden Room followed by a UMD Campus Tour at 10:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to a Tailgating Party at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 29 in the Gold Lot in front of the Football Field. Football and the UMD Marching Band will debut at half-time for the first
