Jefferson Lines
is Offering Daily Bus Service from the UMD Campus to the Twin Cities
On Thursday, March 31, 2005, Jefferson Bus Lines began
offering the College Connection, which connects the UMD community as
well as Duluth area residents to the Twin Cities and points beyond.
The Jefferson Line pick up is right on UMD's campus at Kirby Circle
(formerly the DTA bus stop), on Kirby Drive. The service is seven days
a week.
The bus leaves UMD each afternoon at 2:45 p.m. and stops
at St. Paul, Minneapolis, the Amtrak Station, and the University of
Minnesota Coffman Memorial Union, as well as other locations on Interstate
35. The bus leaves the Twin Cities for Duluth each morning. Tickets
to the Twin Cities are only $20 each way. Tickets can be purchased on
the UMD campus at the UMD Stores, Street Level.
