 Summer Market on UMD Campus

Fresh and Fun: Market Day in the Plaza

The UMD campus becomes a farmers market every Wednesday afternoon in the summer. From 2 - 4:30 p.m. the UMD Kirby Plaza courtyard, located on Kirby Drive, fills with perennials, hanging plants, annuals, houseplants, blueberry plants, cut flowers, skin and health products, sweet grass, veggies and fruits, and more.

There's nothing more leisurely than listening to music outside, so organizers have put together a series of performers to add to the market experience. The roster includes:
May 16: Charlie Parr, May 23: Dave Mehling, May 30: Jamie Ness.

In addition to the music and the fresh grown produce, sales are offered by UMD Stores on items such as fountain soft drinks, UMD wear and books.

For more information see the website or contact Teri Glembin at (218) 726-6507 or tglembin@d.umn.edu. UMD Market Day in the Plaza is sponsored by Farmer's Market, UMD Auxiliary Services, RSOP, UMD Stores, UofM Employee Wellness Program, and UMD Human Resources.
