Celebrate Summer at Glensheen

Nestled between a great lake and a majestic mansion, a better location would be hard to find. Nearly 100 of the regions most talented artists will gather for Glensheens 14th Annual Festival of Fine Art and Craft.

With free admission, free parking, and a free shuttle bus, Glensheen's Festival is truly a community event. The gates open at 9 a.m., allowing visitors to meet artists from around the state. The festival wraps up at 5 p.m. The show has been named a “best bet” by the Duluth News Tribune and attended by thousands every year.

Glensheen is located at 3300 London Road Duluth Minnesota 55804. There is free parking on site and free parking in UMD's Maroon lot (College Street and University Drive) includes a free shuttle bus.

Anniversary Tours
100 Years of Splendor

Glensheen mansion is celebrating its 100th year in Duluth. On Thursday evenings at 5 p.m. Glensheen offers special tours focused on aspects of the estate. "Art and Artists: the Glensheen Art Collection "will be held on August 15, "By Land or By Sea: How the Congdon's Traveled" will be held on August 21, and "A Dog's Life: The Congdon Pets, Farm Animals, and Wildlife" will be held on August 28.

Glensheen is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. through October 19; first tour begins at 9:30 a.m., and last tour begins at 4 p.m. For information e-mail glen@d.umn.edu or call 218-726-8910.
