Thursday April 18, 2013
Kirby Ballroom and Rafters noon - 4:00

All undergraduate students from any University of Minnesota campus are encouraged to participate; students do not need to have participated in a UROP project in order to present at the showcase.  However, students who have received UROP funding are expected to participate.  No abstract is needed

Oral Presentation:
Students may give a 20-minute oral presentation, which begin at 12:20, with the last presentation beginning at 3:40.  Students presenting power point presentations must use the computer in the assigned room and download their presentation between 8 - noon on the 18th.

Poster Presentation:
Students may create a poster displaying their project to be presented in the ballroom.  Students are asked to attend their poster when not in class; no student is expected or required to miss class to attend the showcase.  Poster participants will be assigned an easel space approximately 3 x 5 feet; easels will be available between 8 - noon on the 18th and all poster displays must be set up before noon; posters can be taken down at 4:00.  The GIS lab prints professional posters appropriate for the showcase.  They request at least 5 working days and charges approximately $43.  For those who do not have expense funds, please fill out the form found at:  http://www.d.umn.edu/urop/ under Student Presentation Funding Request.
