Economics Assessment Plan

The Department of Economics seeks that its students graduate with in-depth knowledge in economics.  The Department emphasizes that a student’s learning should be cumulative and should cover the breadth of the discipline.  Upon graduation students with a major in Economics will be able to:

• Explain major theoretical economic concepts.

• Quantitatively analyze economic relationships.

• Apply theoretical, quantitative, and historical perspectives to current issues.

• Critique and/or formulate policy options.
