In support of your assessment work, please be aware of fall semester assessment of student learning walk-in assistance hours, workshops, and additional information for Liberal Education faculty and Program Assessment Liaisons (PALs) - listed below. And, if at any time you have questions about anything related to assessment of student learning, do not hesitate to contact Jen Mencl (jmencl@d.umn.edu) or Julia Williams (jwillia1@d.umn.edu).

Student Learning Outcome Walk-in Hours - drop in to have your course SLOs reviewed or for assistance writing/revising SLOs (all syllabi are required to include SLOs in accordance with the UMD Syllabus Policy, revised April 2017).

A monthly discussion/working session series is in the planning stages, so stay tuned for additional information as details are finalized. Tentative dates are Sept. 19, Oct. 11, and Nov. 14 (all sessions 3:30-5:00).

All Liberal Education Assessment details are available at d.umn.edu/liberal-education-assessment. Fall 2017 reports are due from faculty who taught courses in Logic and Quantitative Reasoning, Humanities, and Cultural Diversity in the U.S. during 2016-17. Although course assessment reports for these three categories are due Monday, September 11, any faculty teaching a course in any category can submit a report at any time.

Faculty for this Fall's reporting categories are also invited to attend results discussions Wednesday, Sept. 20 or Thursday, Sept. 21 (view details on the "Assessment Schedule" page).

Program SLO assessment reports are due in Compliance Assist Monday, October 2. Reports will be distributed to PAL peer group members prior to the review sessions (see below). Need assistance with Compliance Assist? Contact Jason Ellis (jellis2@d.umn.edu; he's back August 28).
