Campus Data Book 2008

Introduction

The purpose of the UMD Campus Data Book is to provide basic descriptive data to the campus community. It is hoped that these data may provide a basis for new insights and understandings, and raise questions or debate. Every attempt was made to collect, report, and display the data accurately and reliably. Suggestions for improvement are welcome.

The Institutional Research office intends to continue production of this data source yearly.

The book has six major sections:

General, Students, Personnel, Programs, Financial, and Campus

Each section has an introduction describing its contents and providing explanations as necessary. Future explanations and analysis will be based on comments and questions provided by Data Book users.
