Retention and Graduation Rate Official Data - Fall 2010


Retention and graduation rates are tracked by fall semester entering New High School (NHS) cohort. For reporting, the University of Minnesota tracks retention and graduation rates by continuing enrollment within both the first-term campus and the UM system.
2010 Highlights:
UMD's current four-year graduation rate is 30.4 percent - an increase of 4.6 percent compared to four years ago.
Review of Year 1 data shows a steady increase in the percentage of first-year students transferring to another University of Minnesota campus - 2.7 percent of the 2002 NHS cohort transferred to another UM campus after their first year compared to 5.2 percent of the 2009 cohort.
