SEM Council submitted enrollment goal recommendations to Chancellor Black and EVC Schokker in May 2012. Based on comprehensive analysis of internal and external environment data and priorities stated in UMD's Strategic Plan, SEM Council recommends intentional, steady movement toward shaping the profile of the students enrolled at UMD. This profile takes into consideration a variety of subpopulations: undergraduate, graduate and non-degree seeking students, new freshmen, transfer and continuing students, under-represented and international students, Minnesota resident and out-of-state students, and traditional and non-traditional age students.

The SEM Council Interim Report was forwarded to Chancellor Black and Executive Vice Chancellor Schokker on February 13, 2012. The report provides an overview of the council's fall semester activities and progress and demonstrates some of the complexities and intersections that are fundamental to UMD's strategic enrollment management process. The report has been reviewed by the Chancellor's Cabinet, Council of Deans, and the Integrated Strategic Advisory Team (ISAT).

Undergraduate Competitor Analysis (requires login to your UMD Google account, e.g. Gmail, prior to selecting link)

The competitor analysis provides a valuable perspective of UMD's advantages, challenges, and opportunities in the marketplace. Six competitor institutions were included. The competitor analysis is based on external data sources, i.e. the same informational sources college-bound students and their parents often access during the college inquiry process.
