Grandma Hart's Banana Bread

(1 large loaf or 3 mini loaves)

1 cup sugar
½ cup butter, softened
2 eggs
½ cup buttermilk
2 ½ cups sifted flour
1 tsp. Soda
½ tsp. Salt
3 mashed, ripe bananas
(Can add ½ cup mini chocolate chips)

Mix sugar and butter. Add eggs, one at a time. Add milk and mix well. Carefully add dry ingredients until just incorporated. Fold in bananas and chocolate chips.

Grease one regular loaf pan or 3 mini loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/4 hours (45 minutes for mini loaves).
