Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 tablespoon lemon extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons poppy seeds

Combine sugar and eggs in a large bowl and beat till fluffy.
Slowly beat in milk. Add butter, lemon extract and blend well; add the rest of ingredients. Pour into one greased pan. Bake 50-60 minutes at 325° or till tester comes clean.
