Ham and Swiss
pie shell, 9"
6 eggs, beaten
1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
1 cup lean cooked ham, chopped
1 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms
1 cup half and half
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Preheat oven to 450°. Brush pie shell with a small amount of beaten
eggs. Prick bottom and sides with a fork. Bake in oven for 5 minutes
or until golden brown. Set aside. Stir together cheese, ham, and drained
mushrooms. Sprinkle into pie shell. To the beaten eggs add the remaining
ingredients. Beat until well blended. Pour into pie shell over mixture.
Bake in preheated oven at 375° for 30 to 35 minutes or until knife
or toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
