Toffee

1 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 dash cream of tartar
6 HERSHEY'S milk chocolate bars
nuts

Cook over low heat, stirring constantly to hard crack. Spread on buttered cookie sheet or dripping pan. Put 6 or 7 Hershey bars on top and spread as it melts. Then grind nuts on top and spread as it melts. Let set. Crack it next day. You have to work fast and have everything ready when you pour it out. Best to use candy thermometer.
