Garlic Potatoes

4 to 8 potatoes, thinly sliced
4 to 6 buds garlic
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup half and half
salt
pepper

Butter a casserole dish. Build up layers of thinly sliced peeled raw potatoes. Between each layer of potatoes, mince a garlic bud and add salt, pepper and a little melted butter. When all layering is complete pour half and half over until just barely covered. Bake about 1 hour at 350°. or until the cream has been saturated and the tops of the potatoes have browned.
