Oven French Fries

4 to 8 potatoes, peeled
margarine
salt

Peel potatoes. Cut lengthwise into french fry size pieces and soak in ice water for a few hours. Pat dry. Place margarine in a 9 x 13 baking dish and place in a 375° oven to melt or melt in microwave. Toss the potatoes in margarine, salt and pepper and coat potatoes well. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Bake until crisp.
