Herb Compound Butter

This compound butter is delicious with steak, chops and
hamburgers. Cut in 1/2 inch slices and dollop unto meat just before serving.

1/2 cup unsalted butter
2 teaspoons dried tarragon or sage
2 teaspoons parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

In a bowl beat the butter with a wooden spoon until smooth, then gradually beat in all the remaining ingredients. Form the mixture into a rough log. Wrap and chill until firm.
