Mother Cayia's Baked Beans

This is so easy and much better than doctored canned beans.

2 pounds Great Northern beans
1/2 pound salt pork
2 cups brown sugar
2 whole onions
1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons bacon fat, Optional

Soak beans overnight. Cut up salt pork and put in the bottom of crock-pot or bean pot. Salt and pepper the drained beans and put in pot with onion. Mix brown sugar and dry mustard and put on top. Cover with boiling hot water and bake at 275° for about six hours. Fresh bacon fat may be added.
