Daryl B. "Brooks" Knodt

Brooks was born on February 22, 1944, in St. Paul, Minnesota. A 1961 graduate of Wayzata High School, Brooks enrolled at UMD in 1962 and was initiated into Alpha Nu Omega on April 6, 1963. Brooks graduated from UMD with a major in Business Administration and minor in Economics, Political Science and Air Science. After leaving UMD Brooks was employed by the First National Bank of Minneapolis and the Sterling Drug Company in Chicago.

Brooks was active in all aspects of UMD activities. He was Sophomore Class President in 1963-1964, Commander of the 420th AFROTC unit during winter quarter of 1964-1965, and a member of the Arnold Air Society. Alpha activities included Rush Chairman in 1964, IFC Representative in 1965, and President of the Active Chapter in 1966-1967. Brooks received the American Legion Award and the Brother of the Year Award in 1967.

Brooks died on December 21, 1968, in an automobile accident at McGrath, Minnesota.
