"... and the light of Brotherhood shall burn throughout Eternity."
Don was born and raised in Proctor, Minnesota. He graduated from Proctor High School in 1971 and enrolled at UMD the following fall.
Don pledged Alpha in his freshman year, but was not initiated into the Active Chapter; he left UMD in 1972. Although Don's contacts with UMD and Alpha were brief, he was a great help to his pledge class. Many pledge paddles that year found their beginnings in Don's father's well-equipped work shop.
After leaving UMD. Don went to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area where he worked in retail sales at Young Quinlan and was a store manager for Singer at the Rosedale Center. Don died in a motorcycle accident on July 9, 1979, at Nopeming, Minnesota.
