Robert McLeod, Jr


Robert McLeod, Jr., 51, passed away Aug. 26, 2010, in Solvay Hospice after a brave battle with cancer.

Bob was born March 16, 1959, in Superior. He graduated from Superior Senior High and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. Bob loved to fly and was a CFII instructor. He worked as a flight attendant for Northwest Airlines, as a pilot for Flight Express out of Miami, Fla., and as a pilot for Mesaba Airlines. He owned Smithy's Supper Club in Solon Springs. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Edward and Marion Smith and grandmother Olive Wilkinson. He is survived by his parents Bob and Pat McLeod and sister Debbie McLeod, all of Solon Springs; aunt and uncle Bob and Kay Wille of Rice Lake, Wis.; and nephews and cousins.

A light has left earth but now shines bright in Heaven, and Bob will always be much loved by all. May Bob's memory be eternal. The Family wishes to thank the staff at Solvay Hospice for their wonderful and loving care of Bob.
