In Memoriam...

Tom Peer

Worked for the Burlington Northern RR as a computer programmer in St. Paul, MN. He was transferred to Kansas City, Kansas in the mid 80's. He was then transferred back to St. Paul in the 90's. He lived in Stillwater, MN. In 1998, the railroad wanted to transfer him to Ft. Worth Texas, as a result, he resigned and went to work as a computer programmer for the State of Minnesota.

Cancer was found on his tongue in 1999. After numerous operatoins, thee cancer spread to the lymph nodes in his neck. He died in the spring of 2002. He is survived by his wife, Darlene, a doaughter Jodi, and his son, Thom (an All American soccer goalie).

He loved to bike ride, run, cross-country ski, and fly fish. A bike ride to him was at least 30 miles. His best marathon time was 3 hrs and 17 minutes. He rode his bike and skied up until a month before he passed away. He had a log cabin on Barnum Lake, near Hackensack, Minnesota.
