- How can we retain girls' interest in science, math, engineering and technology from elementary ages up through high level professional degrees?
- How does participation in creating objects for videogames/virtual worlds, modification of games, and game creation help girls gain IT fluency and develop an identity of mastery in computer-related fields?
- How does learning occur and how is it motivated by a desire to play virtual games in a social context?
- How does participation in virtual worlds and MMOs encourage players to learn traditional classroom “content” and skills?
- How does participation in virtual worlds and MMOs develop soft skills, socialize participants, and encourage personal, transformational growth?
- How can developers create virtual learning environments without giving up the attractive qualities of entertainment games?
