SOC 3701: TPS-EMBARRASSMENT.

Think of a situation in which you found yourself embarrassed and in relation to that situation, write a few ideas about the causes and effects of embarrassment. How does embarrassment relate to the social self and to Goffman's analysis of the presentation of self. How do other people experience your embarrassment and what do they do about it? Then team up with one or two people sitting near you and compare your ideas about embarrassment. Finally, we will come together as a class and see what we can agree upon.
